The Israeli army announced today, Friday, that it has destroyed several tunnels around the Shifa Hospital in Gaza City and that it has completed "operational preparations" prior to the agreed-upon ceasefire. Israeli government spokesman Ofir Gendelman stated: "Our forces destroyed, this morning, the large 'terrorist' tunnel that was excavated beneath the Shifa Hospital in Gaza." He mentioned in a statement: "We destroyed a passage for underground tunnels, as well as several tunnel corridors in the area of the Shifa Hospital."
