Revelation of Details on the Assault of a Minor Girl in Sabra

The Public Relations Division of the Internal Security Forces stated that a complaint was submitted to the Office for Combating Human Trafficking and Protecting Morality in the Judicial Police Unit by a citizen against unknown individuals for the crimes of assault, abuse, and sexual assault on her minor daughter. This complaint was made after the assailants published video clips showing the attack on social media related to the victim.

The report explained that when the minor (born in 2010, Palestinian) was interviewed, she stated that on 30-08-2023, a girl named (M.) invited her to her home—someone she had known for about two months. Once they arrived, (M.), with the help of two young men, forcibly pulled her inside and began to hit her with a water hose, injuring her left leg and right hand. They held her captive for three weeks until she managed to escape.

The Division mentioned that they filmed the physical and sexual assaults and published them on the victim's personal page on one of the social media platforms.

On 25-09-2023, in various locations, the authorities arrested the following individuals: J.A. (born in 2004, Palestinian) arrested by the Bir Hassan precinct, H.K. (born in 1983, Palestinian) arrested by the Military Intelligence, and M.Z. (born in 2005, Syrian), arrested by the Military Intelligence.

During the investigation, the first suspect confessed to beating the girl and injuring her, as well as filming the third individual while assaulting her. He also filmed the second individual during the sexual assault and sent the videos to H.K. M.Z. confessed to hitting the victim and injuring her right hand as revenge for spreading rumors and defaming her in her neighborhood. H.K. also admitted to sexually assaulting her.

The Division confirmed that "the arrested individuals were referred to the competent judiciary based on its instructions."
