Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported that "Hamas is using advanced models of locally-made RPGs capable of penetrating armored vehicles and buildings in two stages." The newspaper explained that the explosion that occurred in Gaza last Monday, which resulted in the death of 21 Israeli soldiers, was preceded by the launch of an RPG at a tank, killing two of its crew members. The report stated that "Hamas boasts of the Yasin TBG rocket, which it started using last November, designed for attacks on buildings and fortifications, alongside the Yasin 105 rocket."
Hamas uses standard RPG launchers, which have caused many soldiers to be injured outside their vehicles, as well as North Korean F-7 RPGs and Russian-made Kornet anti-tank missiles. The most advanced weapon in Gaza is the RPG-29 anti-tank rocket; however, the report indicates it is difficult to use in "guerrilla warfare."
