Mohammed bin Zayed Discusses Developments in the Ukrainian Crisis with Zelensky

UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky over the phone regarding the Ukrainian crisis and the UAE’s mediation efforts for prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine. On Friday, Mohammed bin Zayed received a phone call from Zelensky, in which the Ukrainian leader expressed his gratitude for the successful mediation efforts made by the UAE, resulting in one of the largest prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine since the onset of the crisis. Bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE's position advocating for dialogue to find diplomatic solutions to the Ukrainian crisis and emphasized his country’s commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at alleviating the humanitarian repercussions of the crisis. For his part, Zelensky expressed his heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the UAE President for the ongoing humanitarian support provided by the UAE to the Ukrainian people.
