Officials in Kyiv reported today, Thursday, that there was "another night attack on areas in the eastern part of the city, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to several others."
The military administration in Kyiv mentioned in a post on "Telegram" that two of the deceased were children, in the attack that targeted the Yasnyansky area in the eastern suburbs of the capital. The attack also struck the Dniprovsky area, which is closer to the city center.
The military administration stated that seven people were injured in both areas. Images from the scene, shared on social media, showed rescue teams assisting residents in buildings, with construction debris scattered across the streets.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko revealed via "Telegram" that emergency crews extinguished the fires caused by debris falling near the impact sites. The source of the strikes remains unclear.
Discussions on social media suggested it was a missile attack, with the alert in effect for nearly an hour. This marks the eighteenth attack on the capital this month.
On another front, the governor of the Belgorod region in Russia, Vyacheslav Gladkov, stated today, Thursday, that five people were injured in shelling overnight in the town of Shebekino, which also resulted in the destruction of several buildings.
He added on "Telegram" that two individuals were hospitalized due to a Ukrainian missile strike on the town. He noted, "We are also receiving calls reporting damages to homes and residential buildings, with shells penetrating walls in some cases."
