ECOWAS Urges Senegal to Set a Timeline for Elections

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) urged Senegalese politicians on Tuesday to take urgent action to re-establish an electoral timeline that aligns with the constitution. ECOWAS stated in a statement that it is "monitoring the situation with concern" and called on politicians and the public to help promote peace. This comes after the parliament postponed the presidential elections originally scheduled for February 25 to December.
