# "Masam" Project Removes Over 600 Landmines in Yemen

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's "Masam" project announced that during the fourth week of June 2023, it managed to clear Yemen's land from mines by removing 605 mines planted by the Houthi militia in various regions of Yemen. This includes 125 anti-tank mines and 480 unexploded ordnance. The "Masam" team removed 51 anti-tank mines and 223 unexploded ordnance in Aden Governorate, as well as 13 anti-tank mines in Qatabah District in Al-Dhalie Governorate. Additionally, the team was able to remove 24 anti-tank mines and 58 unexploded ordnance in Haiss District in Al-Hudaydah Governorate, and removed 37 anti-tank mines and 199 unexploded ordnance in Al-Madaniyah District in Lahij Governorate.

Thus, the total number of mines removed during June reached 4,899, while the number of mines removed since the start of the "Masam" project has reached 405,818 mines that the Houthi militia randomly planted across Yemen, targeting more innocent victims, including children, women, and the elderly.
