Saudi Arabia Condemns Israel's Decision on West Bank Settlements

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the Israeli army's approval of "the construction of approximately 3,500 new settlement units in the West Bank, and the attempt to Judaize large areas of the West Bank, including Jerusalem, in violation of all international resolutions, international human rights law, and UN charters, which obstruct opportunities for peace and stability in the region." The Kingdom reiterated the necessity of ending "the suffering and providing hope for the Palestinian people, enabling them to obtain their rights to live in security and establish their Palestinian state with the borders of 1967 and East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions."
