UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffith said today, Friday, that he feels "deeply concerned" about recent statements from Israeli ministers regarding "plans to encourage the mass transfer" of Palestinian civilians from Gaza to third countries, and he reiterated his call for a ceasefire. Griffith stated in a briefing to the UN Security Council, "If we do not act, this will become a scar on our humanity that cannot be erased... I reiterate my call for this council to take urgent action to end this war."
