Israeli Army Conducts Military Exercise Simulating Ground Attack on Lebanon

In recent days, the Israeli army conducted a large-scale military exercise simulating a ground attack on Lebanon, aimed at "increasing the readiness" of the forces. Military censorship allowed for this information to be revealed today, Tuesday. The statement clarified that "the exercise took place at the battalion level of the 228th Brigade (Northern Nahal Brigade), with the participation of the brigade commander, Yaniv Malka, and the commander of the 5030 battalion (reserve)." Additionally, the Northern Command leader, Ori Gordin, conducted a field visit to the troops. The Israeli army did not specify the location or duration of the exercise. The Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported that "all indications suggest that Israel’s patience regarding the Lebanese border is nearing its end," while currently, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant are allowing for diplomatic efforts through U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein to reach a political settlement, who visited Beirut over the weekend.
