Kremlin: Putin's Statements on Nuclear Weapons Do Not Threaten Their Use

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced today, Thursday, that "the statements made by Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with state media regarding nuclear weapons do not constitute a threat of their use." He pointed out that "Putin was merely responding to questions from a journalist and reiterating the well-known conditions under which Russia would theoretically have to use nuclear weapons."
