Maronite Patriarch Bechara Raï addressed the youth of Lebanon, stating that they are "the renewing force in the church, society, and the state. Your weapon is your prayer, your ammunition is truth and love, to rise to the rescue of Lebanon and liberate it from the widespread corruption of politicians in public administrations." He emphasized that "from you, there must emerge loyal citizens solely for Lebanon to restore hope and revive Lebanon, which has been crippled by its politicians in all aspects of the state and its official administrations, with selfless and aware leaders. You (the youth) are the hope for reviving Lebanon." During his sermon after the divine liturgy marking the end of the World Youth Days in the monastery of Our Lady of Bzumar, he clarified that "the youth of today are facing current challenges that shape their characters, so do not shy away from any challenge in your path."
