Four informed sources indicated today, Wednesday, that "Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemicals Company (SATORP) plans to close its refinery in Jubail for maintenance starting from late September or the first half of October." The sources stated: "The refinery, which has a total capacity to process 450,000 barrels of crude oil per day, will shut down for about 45 days." They added: "Several units are also scheduled to be closed for maintenance, producing up to 800,000 metric tons annually of paraxylene and up to 150,000 metric tons annually of gasoline."
