The President of the National Higher Conservatory of Music, Hiba Kawas, mourned the passing of former minister and member of parliament Muhammad Youssef Baydoun, on behalf of herself, the conservatory, the board members, the National Arab Music Orchestra, the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra, and the educational and administrative staff. Kawas extended her sincere condolences to his esteemed family, the people of Beirut, and all Lebanese people in the loss of this national figure and one of the prominent faces of politics in Lebanon, a proud son of Beirut, and a descendant of a family known for its humanitarian, social, cultural, and political contributions.

He dedicated himself to serving Lebanon quietly and modestly, contributing significantly in various fields, particularly to the national conservatory during his tenure as Minister of Culture. He played a crucial role in establishing the national orchestras, striving immensely to make the National Institute a distinctive hallmark in national cultural institutions. Kawas emphasized his significant cultural role in enhancing the status of the conservatory, noting his unique imprint on the institute, which still today affirms his cultural presence and national contributions, keeping him a symbol of integrity, righteousness, and patriotism.
