On Saturday, in Amman, the interior ministers of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan met to discuss joint efforts to combat drugs. The meeting addressed "enhancing cooperation in this framework to face the common challenges that have become a danger threatening the communities of the region, as this scourge has become one of the most prominent issues threatening community peace." The meeting was attended by Interior Minister Mazen Al-Fraihat, along with his Lebanese counterpart Bassam Mawlawi, Iraqi Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and Syrian Minister Mohammad Khaled Al-Rahmoon.
