Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that the trade volume between Turkey and the UAE has surpassed $20 billion, highlighting the goal to increase it to over $50 billion. This was mentioned during his meeting today, Tuesday, with representatives of global investment companies in Dubai, according to a statement from the Turkish presidency's communication office.
Erdogan noted during the meeting that there are currently around 600 companies with Emirati capital operating in Turkey, and the trade exchange between the two countries has exceeded the $20 billion mark. He urged Emirati companies to invest in Turkey, emphasizing that the aim in the upcoming period is to surpass $50 billion in trade exchange.
The Turkish president arrived in the UAE this morning for an official visit. He was welcomed at Dubai International Airport by UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Mari, Turkey's Ambassador to Abu Dhabi Turgay Tunçer, Turkish Consul in Dubai Onur Şaylan, and other officials.
