Seizure of a Ship Owned by Israelis in the Gulf of Aden

A U.S. defense official announced that unidentified armed individuals are believed to have detained the oil tanker "Central Park" in the Gulf of Aden today, Sunday. The U.S. official stated, "U.S. forces and coalition forces are in the nearby area, and we are closely monitoring the situation." Data from (LSIG) indicates that the small oil tanker is operated by "Zodiac Maritime Limited," a company owned by Israelis, which is an international ship management firm based in London. This incident follows the detention of a cargo ship linked to Israel by the Houthis in the southern Red Sea last week. The Houthi group has threatened to target more Israeli ships.
