The army mentioned, "During the past day, the army carried out a large-scale operation that surrounded Khan Younis and deepened the operation in the heart of the area, which serves as a pivotal center for the Khan Younis Brigade belonging to the Hamas organization." It added that "ground forces engaged in close combat supported by air force strikes. Intelligence information was used to coordinate fire, resulting in the elimination of dozens of terrorists."
