Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny, currently imprisoned, confirmed on Tuesday his arrival at a prison in the Arctic, stating that he is in good spirits. Navalny posted an update on X after being out of contact for over two weeks, mentioning he had met with his lawyer. His allies reported on Monday that he was transferred to a penal facility north of the Arctic Circle. According to the sentence against Navalny for "extremism," he is required to serve his sentence in one of the "special regime" colonies.
