Referee Expert: Vinicius Deserved Red Card Against Leipzig

Spanish referee expert Iturralde González stated that Brazilian Vinicius Junior, star of Real Madrid, deserved a red card during the match against Leipzig on Wednesday night in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. In the 54th minute of the match, Vinicius shoved Leipzig's Orban violently off the ball, and the referee only showed a yellow card.

Referee expert Iturralde González commented in statements reported by the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo": "Real Madrid received refereeing assistance," referring to Vinicius not being sent off. He added: "Real Madrid should have completed the match with only ten players."

Vinicius Junior scored for Real Madrid in the 65th minute, while Willy Orban netted for Leipzig in the 68th minute. Real Madrid secured their qualification for the quarter-finals with a total score of (2-1) over the two legs, having won the first leg in Germany with a score of 1-0.
