The Departure of Ahed Abu Steh: The Young Man Who Ignited the Flame of Resistance in Gaza

Activists on social media circulated news about the killing of Palestinian youth Ahed Adnan Abu Steh, known for his famous phrase "I ignited," during his resistance against the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip. With believing hearts and raised heads, I announce the martyrdom of my cousin, the heroic resister Ahed Adnan Abu Steh, the one who said #I_ignited during his resistance against the Israeli invading forces. Pray for him, dear ones, for the highest paradise. And thanks be to God who honored us with defending the holy site of the Messenger of God, peace be upon him. pic.twitter.com/gX68NTyUTR— J. Abu Steh appeared in a video published by Saraya al-Quds - the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement - weeks ago after he destroyed an Israeli tank, jumping for joy and shouting: "I ignited," in reference to the tank catching fire. Local sources reported that Abu Steh was killed following the bombing of a group of civilians near Palestine Mosque in the Khan Younis camp in southern Gaza Strip.
