Hamas Comments on the UN Security Council Decision Regarding Gaza

Hamas leader Osama Hamdan viewed the UN Security Council's decision on Gaza as "not reflecting the minimum required from an international institution." He indicated that "Resolution 2722 issued today by the UN Security Council, which calls for expanding the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and monitoring it, is an insufficient step that does not meet the catastrophic situation created by the Zionist military terrorism machine in Gaza, especially since it did not include an international resolution to stop the genocide being carried out by the terrorist occupation against our Palestinian people in Gaza." He continued: "It is the duty of the UN Security Council to compel the occupation to allow sufficient aid to be delivered to all areas of Gaza, particularly the northern regions, which are subjected to daily massacres and an ongoing fascist blockade and starvation policy."
