PSG Reveals Mbappe's Successor

Paris Saint-Germain has identified the player they intend to sign as a replacement for their star French player Kylian Mbappe, who is likely to leave the team this summer. According to the Spanish newspaper "AS," PSG will not sign a new striker to replace Mbappe but will move to sign Ousmane Dembélé, the winger from Barcelona, to strengthen their attack.

The report clarifies that Dembélé is contracted with Barcelona until 2024 with a release clause of 100 million euros, but there is a peculiar condition in the French winger's contract allowing him to leave during the months of June or July for only 50 million euros.

Furthermore, "Radio Monte Carlo" reported that in the past few hours, the Parisian club has accelerated its efforts to acquire Dembélé, especially since his contract includes a release clause of 50 million euros, from which the player and his agent would receive 50 percent.

According to the French radio station, the French club is just one step away from paying the 50 million euro release clause, adding that if Paris pays the amount, the maximum Barcelona will receive is half of the release clause (25 million euros).

Dembélé renewed his contract with Barcelona last season until the summer of 2024, and the Catalan club is currently negotiating to extend his stay until 2027.
