Fire Breaks Out on Passenger-Filled Plane in Texas After Takeoff

A Boeing aircraft from United Airlines was forced to make an emergency landing in Texas just minutes after takeoff due to flames erupting from one of its jet engines. Shocking video shows the fire intensifying from under the left wing of the plane, just inches away from the passenger windows. The flames were so intense that they appeared almost white against the night sky. Thankfully, no one was injured in this terrifying ordeal. United Airlines stated in a release, "Flight 1118 returned to Houston shortly after takeoff due to an engine issue and landed safely, with passengers deplaning normally," adding that they arranged for a new plane to transport passengers to their destination.
