Saudi Arabia Publishes Map Including Tiran and Sanafir Islands

Saudi Arabia has published its official map which includes the islands of Tiran and Sanafir, which Egypt has agreed to transfer ownership of to the Kingdom. The map published by the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information, the national authority responsible for producing the official map of the Kingdom with recognized international borders, revealed the inclusion of Tiran and Sanafir islands within Saudi Arabia's maritime boundaries after Egypt ceded them. The Saudi authority provided slightly different names for the islands than what is commonly known, calling Sanafir "Snafar" and Tiran "Thiran." They called for the map to be adopted in all forums and institutions.
