US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller expressed optimism today, Monday, that a new maritime route for delivering aid to Gaza, currently under consideration, could complement existing efforts to deliver aid to the region by land and air drops. He added that the "maritime aid corridor is still in the development stage and that Washington continues to work on increasing the volume of aid reaching those in need in Gaza."
