Formula 1 Stewards Postpone Hearing to Thursday at Haas' Request

The stewards of the FIA Formula One World Championship have decided to postpone a virtual hearing from today, Wednesday, to tomorrow, Thursday, following a request from the Haas team to review the results of the United States Grand Prix weeks after its conclusion. The stewards stated in a statement that the delay was to allow the stewards "to independently review the requests submitted."

Haas, currently at the bottom of the championship standings, sought to request the review during the Sao Paulo Grand Prix earlier this week, believing that several drivers exceeded track limits without penalty during the race held on October 22. The hearing is scheduled to reconvene at 1400 GMT tomorrow to determine whether "a new and significant relevant element has been discovered that was not available to the requesting party at the time of the decision in question." The case will only proceed to a second stage if this element is discovered.

Representatives from Aston Martin, Williams, and World Champion Red Bull have been summoned to the virtual hearing. Williams driver Alex Albon, who finished ninth in the race in Austin, was one of several drivers alleged to have violated track limits at turn six without penalty.
