Ukrainian officials announced that "a Russian missile led to the death of two emergency workers in southern Ukraine this Wednesday while they were extinguishing a fire caused by an attack that occurred just moments before." Regional governor Yury Malashko noted that "at least seven other people were injured due to the strikes that took place in the Zaporizhia region, where Russian forces launched three missiles within about half an hour." He added that "a civilian facility was shelled, but he did not go into detail, while reporting that nearby houses, cars, and buildings were damaged." For his part, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko stated via Telegram that "rescue workers rushed to the site after the first strikes but another attack occurred afterwards." He pointed out that "government emergency service employees were already on site within minutes when the invaders (Russians) struck again," adding that "the two men who were killed were aged 31 and 34."
