Lana Nusseibeh, the Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates to the Security Council, called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. During a Security Council session requested by the UAE regarding the war in Gaza, Nusseibeh stated that "70% of the casualties in Gaza are women and children and not members of Hamas." The UAE's Permanent Representative to the Security Council reiterated, "We renew our demand for an immediate ceasefire." She considered the demands to evacuate Al-Quds Hospital unrealistic, given that there are 11,000 displaced individuals in the hospital. She continued, saying, "All residents of Gaza are under threat, as are the hostages held by Hamas." She clarified that "residents of the West Bank are also suffering from Israeli settlers who have escalated their attacks, forcing many Palestinians to flee."
