The Hamas government has suspended the evacuation of foreigners and dual nationals to Egypt due to Israel's refusal to transfer injured Palestinians to Egyptian hospitals, according to a responsible source in the crossings authority who spoke to AFP on Saturday. The source, who wished to remain anonymous, stated, "No foreign passport holders will be allowed to leave Gaza until coordination for the evacuation of the injured from hospitals in Gaza and the north towards the Rafah crossing is arranged.” An Egyptian security source confirmed to AFP that, "No injured person or foreign passport holder has arrived at the Egyptian Rafah crossing" on Saturday. The movement stopped "following the bombing of ambulances that were transporting the injured to the crossing." Hamas sources indicated that Israel refused to allow many injured individuals, whose names were on the list sent to Egyptian authorities, to leave for Egypt. The Israeli army confirmed on Friday that it bombed an ambulance outside the al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, claiming it was transporting members of Hamas, a claim that the group denied. The bombing resulted in the deaths of 15 people and injuries to 60 others, according to the health ministry of the Hamas government.
