Iraq: Emphasis on the Importance of Coordination Between Executive and Legislative Authorities

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of high-level coordination between the executive and legislative authorities. The Prime Minister's media office stated that "Al-Sudani received several members of the House of Representatives from the (Sadaqoon) bloc on Saturday evening, and during the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the country, the government's efforts in implementing its program aimed at citizens, and improving the service and economic situation to help achieve development and prosperity for the nation." He added that "the meeting underscored the importance of high-level coordination between the executive and legislative authorities in expediting the legislation of laws that serve the public interest, enhancing parliamentary oversight and developing its mechanisms, which will support the executive work according to the priorities and approved plans."
