The calm that has prevailed in southern Lebanon since the ceasefire took effect in Gaza last Friday has experienced some violations today, Thursday. Since 2 PM today, there has been intensive flying of warplanes in the airspace over the Nabatiyeh and Iqlim al-Tuffah regions at a high altitude. Reports indicated that 6 Israeli shellings fell near a UNIFIL position on the outskirts of Marwheen and others on the outskirts of Ramya.
The Israeli army warned earlier today of a drone infiltration from Lebanon. The Israeli army radio reported that sirens were heard in the upper Galilee. In this context, there were reports of Israeli drones flying at low altitudes over the towns of Bint Jbeil. Three explosions were heard between the western and central sectors in the border area in the south.
According to Reuters, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon reported that Israel responded to gunfire from Lebanon across the border. For its part, the Israeli army announced the interception of two rockets by the Iron Dome over the outskirts of the border town of Ramish. The statement said, "Our aircraft successfully intercepted an aerial threat that crossed Lebanese territory towards Israel." Additionally, it was reported that several Israeli shells fell on the outskirts of Ramya and Ramish.
