Cockpit Crack: Incident Involving Japanese Aircraft!

A spokesperson for All Nippon Airways (ANA) stated today, Saturday, that "an internal flight returned to its departure airport after a crack was discovered in the cockpit window of a Boeing 737-800 during flight." The spokesperson added that "flight number 1182 was en route to Toyama Airport but returned to New Chitose Airport in Sapporo after a crack was found in the outer layer of the four-layer windows surrounding the cockpit."

He confirmed that there were no reports of injuries among the 59 passengers and six crew members. He continued, "The crack did not affect the control of the flight or the air pressure within it." The aircraft was not one of the Boeing 737 MAX 9 models, which has been in the spotlight following an episode involving a cockpit explosion in a new Alaska Airlines aircraft during flight last week.
