The Russian defense stated in a statement: "At approximately 14:50 this afternoon, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack using a drone on targets in Russian territory was thwarted." The statement added that "the deployed air defense systems destroyed the Ukrainian drone over Belgorod."
