Clippers Defeat Grizzlies in NBA Action

Paul George shone, scoring 37 points—the highest in the game—as his team, the Los Angeles Clippers, defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 128-119 last night in the NBA. Kawhi Leonard contributed to the Clippers' victory with 22 points, while Amir Coffey added 13 points and Russell Westbrook scored 12 points for the visiting team. The Grizzlies played without their injured players Ja Morant and Marcus Smart and also lost Desmond Bane, who suffered an ankle sprain before the end of the third quarter. Bane scored 15 points and provided three assists in 23 minutes before exiting the game. Jaren Jackson was the leading scorer for Memphis with 21 points, while his teammate Xavier Tillman added 20 points.
