Lebanon.. Good News for Teachers in Public Education

The Minister of Education and Higher Education in the caretaker government, Abbas Halabi, has directed the administration and the accounting department in the joint administrative directorate to start distributing productivity allowances to all deserving members of the educational, administrative, and technical staff in public schools, secondary schools, and vocational institutions. This comes after the first month of actual teaching has passed, and the concerned schools and administrations have prepared lists confirming that teaching has been conducted. Halabi emphasized that inquiries should be made exclusively by contacting the phone number: 01772288, stating that "any complaints or inquiries outside this method will be futile."
