The Saudi Ministry of Finance announced today, Wednesday, a deficit of 80.946 billion Riyals in the 2023 budget. The ministry added that "Saudi expenditures reached 1.293 trillion Riyals, while revenues amounted to 1.212 trillion Riyals."
Regarding the fourth quarter of 2023, actual public revenues amounted to 358 billion Riyals, expenditures reached 395 billion Riyals, resulting in a deficit of 37 billion Riyals.
The Ministry of Finance published the performance results of the Kingdom's general budget until the fourth quarter of the financial year 2023 as follows:
- Total actual state expenditures: 1.293 trillion Riyals
- Actual deficit: 80.946 billion Riyals
- Total actual oil revenues: 754.562 billion Riyals
**Actual Revenues for 2023:** The total actual revenues for 2023 reached approximately 1212.3 billion Riyals, marking a 4% decrease compared to 2022. Oil revenues for 2023 were around 754.6 billion Riyals, while non-oil revenues amounted to 457.7 billion Riyals.
**Actual Expenditures for 2023:** Actual expenditures for 2023 totaled approximately 1293.24 billion Riyals, representing an 11% increase compared to the same period last year.
