Fire Breaks Out at Refinery in Isfahan, Iran

The Islamic Republic News Agency reported that "a fire broke out in a crude oil distillation unit at a refinery in Isfahan, central Iran, today Saturday." The agency stated: "A fire erupted in one of the crude oil units at the Isfahan refinery. Rescue personnel were dispatched to the scene." The semi-official Mehr news agency quoted a senior official in the Isfahan government stating that no one was injured in the fire, which has been extinguished. The official noted that the flames erupted in the pipes at the entrance of unit 3 of the refinery. The cause of the fire in the pipes has not been mentioned.
