Bruna Biancardi, the girlfriend of Brazilian star Neymar, revealed details about the robbery at her family's home in the Cotia district of São Paulo, Brazil, aimed at kidnapping her and her newborn daughter, Mavi. Three thieves broke into the Biancardi family's home early last Tuesday to steal and abduct baby Mavi and her mother Bruna, intending to demand ransom from Neymar for their release. Fortunately, they were not home at the time.
In a statement to the Spanish newspaper "AS," Bruna said: "They robbed my house and took my mom and dad hostage. Mavi, my sister, and I do not live there anymore, and we were not present at that time. Material things can be recovered; the most important thing is that everyone is safe, and the culprits have been found. Thank you, God, for protecting my family from all evil."
Bruna added, "The case is currently in the hands of the authorities who will seek justice. This is not an easy situation for anyone, especially for a family that did not intend to reveal their lives in this way. Finally, we ask for respect and consideration during this sensitive moment, and I thank you for your support and understanding."
Brazilian police have arrested Bruna Biancardi's 20-year-old neighbor, who is involved in the robbery, and he has confessed to the names of his two accomplices. Investigations are ongoing.
