Mikati from Munich: Lebanon Will Remain Committed to All UN Resolutions

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati confirmed that "Lebanon will remain committed to all United Nations resolutions, and Israel must implement these resolutions, stop its aggression in the south, cease its violations of Lebanese sovereignty, and withdraw from all occupied Lebanese territories." Mikati stated this during a speech at the opening session of the 60th Munich Security Conference in Germany, titled "Protecting Innocents and Relief Volunteers in Wars." He noted that "killing and targeting innocent children, women, and the elderly is a crime against humanity." He also called for accountability for "any violations of international humanitarian law, including attacks on civilians and humanitarian workers." Mikati urged international bodies to "support efforts for peacebuilding, assist in preventing and resolving conflicts, and protect civilians from harm."
