Four Decisions by the Minister of Finance

On Tuesday, the Minister of Finance in the caretaker government, Yusuf Khalil, issued four decisions to extend deadlines. The first decision states: "The deadline for the payment of the annual licensing fee for shops selling alcoholic beverages in closed containers is extended until March 28, 2024." The second decision: "The deadline for submitting declarations regarding the travel departure fee by air and sea, as well as the payment of this fee for January 2024, is extended until March 28, 2024." The third decision: "The deadline for submitting applications for smoking licenses for tourism institutions and the payment of the fee for 2024 is extended until March 28, 2024." The fourth decision: "The deadline for the payment of the fixed and proportional annual licensing fees imposed on establishments selling alcoholic beverages by the glass for consumption on the premises for 2024 is extended until March 28, 2024." These decisions are made to allow the relevant taxpayers to submit legal declarations and pay the necessary fees, and to spare them from facing penalties for late submissions or payments.
