Turkish Red Crescent Sends Largest Aid Shipment to Gaza

The Turkish Red Crescent is sending its largest aid shipment to Gaza through Egypt, with a ship carrying around 3,000 tons of food, medicine, and equipment heading to the Egyptian port of Al-Arish. Fatma Meriç Yılmaz, the President of the Turkish Red Crescent, stated in an interview with CNN Türk that the ship will make two trips to Egypt to deliver the aid, most of which was collected through donations. She explained that the aid will then be transported in around 200 trucks to the border city of Rafah in Gaza, where more than a million displaced people have taken refuge. The aid includes flour, hygiene products, ready-to-eat meals, ambulances, and mobile kitchens. She mentioned, "We have enough aid collected to nearly fill the second ship as well. Once the ship returns here, we will load it again, and then the ship will set sail again on March 26, approximately around the middle of Ramadan." Turkey has already sent thousands of tons of aid to Egypt for delivery to Gaza.
