Withdrawal of Kuwaiti Citizenship from 26 Individuals for Various Reasons

The Kuwaiti newspaper "Al-Qabas" reported the issuance of four decrees and decisions to withdraw citizenship from 26 individuals for various reasons. The decrees were made based on the citizenship law, which states that "citizenship may be revoked if it was granted through deceit or based on false statements," and "citizenship may be revoked if the individual is convicted of a crime that undermines honor and integrity within 15 years of being granted Kuwaiti citizenship." The actions were also based on Article 21 Bis, which stipulates "punishing anyone who provides false information to the relevant administrative authorities regarding citizenship."
