The match between Bournemouth and Luton Town in the English Premier League was halted today, Saturday, in the 65th minute, six minutes after Luton player Tom Lockyer collapsed on the pitch. The score was 1-1 when Lockyer fell to the ground without any other players near him, prompting players and Luton coach Rob Edwards to immediately call for medical staff. Players from both teams left the pitch six minutes later. Luton Town posted on their X (formerly Twitter) account: "There is a stop in play as Tom Lockyer receives medical care. We are all with you, Lux." Lockyer was taken off the field on a stretcher to applause from the fans after the players went to the changing rooms.
