Iraq Sends New Aid Shipment to Gaza

Iraq's Prime Minister advisor, Zaidan Khalaf, reported today, Saturday, that a new shipment of relief materials has been sent to Gaza at the direction of the Prime Minister. Khalaf noted that "the fundraising committee for the Palestinian people has sent the seventh batch of relief, food, and medical supplies to the Gaza Strip," adding that "the total amount of sent relief and medical supplies is about 90 tons in addition to 10 million liters of fuel from the Khor al-Zubair port in Basra to the Suez Canal." He emphasized that "the process of sending aid to the Palestinian people will continue, following the Prime Minister's order, through an air bridge between Iraq and Egypt in coordination with the Egyptian authorities for the purpose of delivering the materials via the Rafah crossing." The spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, confirmed "the allocation of a C130 aircraft from the Iraqi Air Force to send 15 tons of relief supplies to Al-Arish Airport," noting that "the number of military aircraft sent to Al-Arish Airport has reached 9 planes with a total of 7 air sorties."
