Russia Condemns Israeli Attack on Damascus Airport

Russia condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Damascus International Airport today, describing them as provocative and dangerous. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that "the strikes carried out by Israel yesterday, Sunday, could exacerbate tensions in a region already ablaze due to the war in Gaza." She added, "We are convinced that such abhorrent practices are fraught with very serious consequences, especially in light of the sharp aggravation of the situation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict area and the resulting increase in regional tensions."
