Ukrainian Minister of Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin, revealed on Sunday that the country has increased its arms production to three times that of last year, with 500 companies now operating in the defense sector. In a televised speech in Kyiv, Kamyshin noted that this figure includes 100 state-owned companies and 400 private firms, and Ukraine plans to "significantly increase ammunition production" this year. Meanwhile, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov stated on Sunday that about 50 percent of Western arms shipments to Ukraine do not arrive on schedule.
