It stated that American and Jordanian C-130 aircraft dropped the aid in northern Gaza. U.S. officials noted that air dropping aid is a costly and insufficient alternative compared to truck-delivered assistance, given the magnitude of the humanitarian crisis. The Biden administration is pushing to increase the flow of aid by land and is also exploring a maritime option.
