Berri: Hochstein Presented Us Several Ideas "Some Positive and Some Conditional"

The Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, stated that "there are no solutions as long as the truce is not in place," adding that for there to be a truce, the American envoy Amos Hochstein would have a role, and as of now, there is nothing. In an interview with "Al-Jadid" channel, he said, "Hochstein presented us with several ideas, some of which are positive and some conditional." He emphasized the commitment to fully implement Resolution 1701, saying, "Only God can compel me to agree to terms with conditions." Berri also mentioned that "the Qataris are interested in the Gaza issue and the southern front, where they support the solution and encourage discussions on the ideas presented by Hochstein." Regarding his meeting with the National Moderation bloc, Berri replied, "The meeting was positive, and I am the one who establishes the mechanism for the initiative; there is no president other than the Speaker of the Council."
