Following Israel's attack on a Hezbollah position in southern Lebanon, the party launched an attack on the Branait barracks and the Avivim barracks using guided missiles and mortar shells, hitting them directly. In a statement, the party said: "After three of our brother fighters were martyred this afternoon as a result of Israeli assaults on Lebanese towns and villages, groups from the Islamic Resistance, in an initial response, attacked the Branait barracks, which is the command center of the Galilee Division, and the Avivim barracks, which is the command center of a battalion belonging to the Western Brigade, using guided missiles and mortar shells, and hit them directly." The media relations of Hezbollah confirmed that "the number of fighters martyred in the Israeli shelling this afternoon is only three, and the rumors about other numbers are not true."
